RTS Limited (RTS) was formed in July 2000 with the objective of providing fault and incident management solutions to the rail industry.

2001 -2004 - Fault Management System launched (FMS) to one of the UK's largest railway infrastructure maintenance companies to manage all fault and incident response units.

2007 - RTS acquired by the present owners.  RTS launches a new On Track Planning System (OTPS) signing up both Babcock and Balfour Beatty as new clients.

2008 - Major rewrite and development of SSWoPS - A Safe System of Works Planning System to Network Rail. This development ensures that a safe planning regime exists to protect Network Rail employees working in possessions and hazardous trackside locations. Also launches  HIMS v3.0. 

2009 - Launched web based requisition portal (RVMS) for the transportation market. Its first customer supplies road/rail vehicles to the Rail Tier 1 suppliers. 

2010 - RTS launches new Resource Management system to address Operational need to roster multiple skills across different projects.  RTS sets up new business in Australia to capture growing investment in Rail.

2011 - RTS awarded first contract in Australia and secures a new contract by Newcastle Metro (Nexus). New mobile applications are delivered to existing clients and RTS launches new application (OTMS) to address OTM fleet asset management.

2012 - RTS award a single tender contract to completely re design Network Rail national Safe Systems of work planning system. RTS forms new relationship with Leightons & Swietelsky to address rapidly growing market in Australia utilising OTPS and OTMS software applications.

2013 - RTS awarded contract to build control centre for new Great Western Electrification Programme as part of the HOPS programme. This involves the operational software suite to support operation control and logistics of the new High Output Train.
